About Me

Background

I grew up in Tennessee and left during grad school to explore the West.

I fell in love with the Four Corners region while serving as a National Park Ranger at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. As soon as my season ended, I was determined to find a way back. After persistent calls and some luck, I secured a three-week science trip down the Colorado River, where I worked on my thesis. That experience led to my first full-time role after graduation as a GIS Operator for a consulting firm in Flagstaff.

From there, I moved to Phoenix, working in local government while always seeking new challenges. Eventually, I landed a role at Esri, the leading GIS company, which took me to Olympia, WA, with plans to make my way to Alaska. However, shortly after moving, I met my husband and have since made the Pacific Northwest my home. While I love visiting Alaska, I’ve realized I’m much better suited for the PNW lifestyle.

In 2010, a health crisis led me to reevaluate my career path. I transitioned into consulting and later shifted my focus to supporting early-stage startups, building PMOs, and driving operational excellence.

Today, I live on three acres in Bend, Oregon, with my husband, dogs, cats, and chickens.

Mentoring & Coaching

With over 15 years in technology, I’ve had the privilege of learning from incredible mentors and coaches. I strive to pay that forward, blending the best advice I’ve received with my own experiences to support others. I’ve led teams of program managers, product managers, and engineers, but one of the most meaningful aspects of my journey has been coaching newly diagnosed women navigating cancer.

Adventuring

I thrive on adventure—both professionally and personally. My favorite way to explore is heading out before sunrise to discover new trails. These days, I spend as much time outdoors as possible, whether in the snow or the summer heat. From hiking and mountain biking to skate skiing or simply walking my senior dog, being outside is where I feel most at home.
